Volunteer Old Age Homes in Kenya

Volunteers are needed to support and take care of old people in the care homes. Volunteers would work along local staff in the care homes to provide, personal care, feeding, taking care of medicines, physical activity, personal hygiene and simply spending quality time with them to cheer them up and bring a smile to their face.

Location

At the moment we have one center in Nairobi and we are working with our partners in other cities and town in an effort to start similar homes/centers for the aged.

Highlights

Volunteers are needed to support and take care of old people in the care homes. Volunteers would work along local staff in the care homes to provide, personal care, feeding, taking care of medicines, physical activity, personal hygiene and simply spending quality time with them to cheer them up and bring a smile to their face.

The Project Background

Volunteers would work 5 days a week for 4-5 hours spending time in the homes to take care of inmates. Volunteers would work along local staff to help in food preperation, giving timely medicines, spending time with them, playing cards, reading out books if possible. Cleaning of rooms, kitchen etc.
Field Conditions There is no educational requirement for this project; anyone with a heart to help is welcome on this project! However proficiency in English is required. People should be patient, committed and willing to learn.Accommodation around Nairobi cottages/ homes/budget hotels.
