8 Days Safari & Whitewater Rafting
The Tana River is a drop pool river offering and exciting day of white water rafting. The adventure starts with a 3 km stretch of easy class II and III white water, where there is plenty of opportunity to practice the paddle skills required to run the lower part of the river. A 6 km section follows with an hour or so of relaxation to view the abundance of bird life around. Cool off with a swim in the warm water. The final 7 km of river, back to the campsite starts with some easy class III waters where paddle commands are gone over again.
Arrive Nairobi Panafric Hotel (BB)
Day 1. Arrive Nairobi, transfer to hotel and after settling into hotel dinner and overnight.
Masai Mara G/Re Mara Leisure Tented Camp (FB)
Day2. Depart to Masai Mara G/Re after breakfast, this is where you will enjoy the herd of animals and the amazing way they co-exist amongst each other. Get here by lunch time, after you refresh, have lunch relax as you wait to start the afternoon game drive. Get a closer look of the animal on the plains, with their endless vistas and enormous herds of grazing animals, look for the predators hidden in bushes or long grass i.e. lion, Cheetah and Leopard. There are hippos in the rivers and exotic birds

Lake Nakuru N/P Lake Nakuru Lodge (FB)
Day4. After an early breakfast check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch,after lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park fame for its abundance of birdlife including millions of flamingoes, rhino and scenic landscape. You return to your lodge late in the evening. Dinner and overnight.
Aberdare Mts. N/P Treetops Hotel (FB)
Day5.After breakfast depart to Aberdares N/P with a stopover at Thomson Falls, Nyahururu for viewing of the waterfalls. The park is the ideal place to admire the various shades of wildlife. The breathtaking sights of rare Bongo antelope along with several other species will remain fresh in mind for years to come. Arrive in time for lunch at Outspan base hotel for Treetops hotel, short excursions around the hotel fame for Lord Baden Powell, founder of Scout Movement where he spent the last three years of his life in a cottage called Paxtu. He was buried at the hotel compound. Afterwards you will be transferred to the Treetops hotel where you are sure to see elephants, buffalos and some other animals at the floodlit waterholes a very close range. Dinner and overnight.
Sagana River Sagana river camp (FB)
Day 6. Depart by mid-morning for Sagana river camp. Afternoon Class IV / V rafting trip on the Tana River (water level dependent) “The Tana River is a drop pool river offering an exciting day of white water rafting. The final 7 km of river, back to the campsite starts with some easy class III waters where paddle commands are gone over again. It is now the 3 big rapids (class IV and V) with names like Captains Folly, Can of Worms because of its four 90 degree bends in succession, and Sphincter Flexor. Subject to water levels we may be able to “surf” in “fish eye” and then swim the next couple of minor rapids. Numerous smaller rapids brings one on to the last big one – Spasm, a series of drops over ¾ km section with a big surprise half way through. We reach the take out point/campsite about 4 hours after setting off, where a full barbeque awaits us with plenty of beer and soft drink. Night spent at the camp in two man dome tents.
Mathioya River Sagana River camp (FB)
Day7. Depart the camp at our own leisure after a fully cooked English breakfast. A 30km drive from the camp brings us to the dam from where we start the rafting on the Mathioya River. Easy, but continuous rapids for 3 km warm up for the start of the more difficult and technical section that soon follows. 5 km to a 200m portage around a serious class VI section, then 3km of easier water down to the take out. Transfer back to Sagana, with the option of a second run down the main 7 km white water section of the Tana back to Savage Camp.
Day 8. Depart to Nairobi after morning game drives. Arrive Nairobi in time for lunch,
