4 Days Safari Semliki Wildlife Reserve

Semuliki National park is located in the extreme west of Uganda, in Bundibugyo. It lies along the Uganda /Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border within the western arm of the East African Rift valley. The park protects a large number of predominantly Central African species which cannot be found anywhere else in East Africa. Near the park, there are "Batwa”, a local pygmy Ituri ethnic group of people. They were the inhabitants of Semuliki Forest. Their livelihood basically depends on fruit gathering and hunting in the forest.

Day 1. Upon arrival at Entebbe airport you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Check in later get briefed about the tour.

Day 2. You will be picked up from your Hotel by your tour guide, and depart by road for a scenic drive to Semliki Wildlife Reserve. Continue into the basin of the Western Rift Valley to Semliki Safari Lodge. After check in, and following dinner, go on a night drive. This is the only place in Uganda where you can do a spot lit night drive to view serval cats, diminutive genet, white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose,

Day 3. After breakfast, have a boat trip on Lake Albert with your packed lunch to see colonies of red-throated bee-eaters dart in and out of their burrows. Have lunch at the waterfalls which provide a great picnic spot. Have views of several fishing villages along the way, and return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4. After breakfast, we will go down into the beautiful gallery rainforest to track wild chimpanzees. After the wild experience, depart to Kampala arriving in the early evening at the hotel.
