15 Days Family Experiences Kenya Safari.
Nairobi / Masai Mara G.Re/ Lake Naivasha / Amboseli N.P/ Mama Africa Experience-Amboseli / Tsavo West N.P, Tsavo East N.P and Watamu Beach. The Adventure safari for children aged under 12 include activities such as build your own mini Maasai homestead, have a close brush with a toothbrush tree, learn to make a fire with a pair of sticks, catch and study the brightest butterflies, plant a tree and help bring back the rains, cast big cat tracks from the real thing, make friends quiver with your own bow, learn how to identify birds of all feathers, and stalk victory in our bush treasure hunts.
Arrive -Nairobi Fareview Hotel (BB).
Day 1. Arrive this morning or in the evening in the city of Nairobi and transfer to the family luxurious Holiday Inn Hotel. Brimming with beautiful green serene and charm, you will revel in this hotel's rich ambience. Overnight at the Hotel.
Masai Mara G/Re Sarova Game Lodge (FB).
Day2 & 3. Depart to Masai Mara G/Re after breakfast this is where you will have 3 days to enjoy the herd of wildlife, species of birds and people and the amazing way they co-exist amongst each other. Get here by lunch time, after you refresh, have lunch relax as you wait to start the afternoon game drive.
Lake Naivasha Elsamere Lodge (FB) Day 4.
Depart Nairobi at 0900hrs, driving on to the Rift Valley escarpment and down to the floor. Proceed to check in at the lodge by mid-morning. Elsamere Conservation Centre is a haven for lovers of nature, set in Acacia forest on the banks of Lake Naivasha the lush green forest and the distant blue rages provide a stunning backdrop to the changing colors of the lake. It is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. After lunch extensive exploration of the conservation.
Lake Naivasha Elsamere Lodge (FB) Day 5.
Early mornings at Elsamere Conservation Center are as special time: the African Fish Eagles herald the dawn with their memorable ringing cry and the chorus of the bird song continues through-out the day. Morning boat rides are an ideal time to spot the many species of waterfowl and brilliantly colored kingfishers as well as walking excursions on the nearby Crescent Island which has some wildlife. Afternoon at leisure admiring Joy Adamson's painting and artifacts which still decorate the house to-date.
Amboseli N/P Ol Tukai Lodge (FB) Day6.
Depart after early breakfast to Amboseli N/P at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain with a stop over in Nairobi for lunch. Proceed later to enter the park by late afternoon game drives around the water springs from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Check in at the camp for dinner and over-night.
Amboseli N/P Ol Tukai Lodge (FB) Day7.
Dawn game drives before breakfast (optional). The snows of Mt.Kilimanjaro forms a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. Return for a breakfast. Relax by the pool side as you enjoy the beauty of Mt. Kilimanjaro massifs. Late afternoon game drives.
Entonet Village (Eco-Tourism Project) Mama Africa Eco-Tented Camp (FB)
Day8. check out and drive to Mama Africa Tented Camp at the forest glades of Mt. Kilimanjaro to arrive by mid-morning. Short excursions to Ngaitole view point and back via Makutano shopping centre and the Lutheran & Catholic churches. Stop-over at Lutheran hill view-point for photography great views of Amboseli plains, Chyulu and Taita hills at the horizon.
Return to the camp for lunch. Afternoon excursions to the forest glades of Mt. Kilimanjaro at Nankoro hill, return to Sonkoro water tank for cultural immersion. Later proceed to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Entonet Village Mama Africa Eco-Tented Camp (FB) Day 9.
After breakfast visit Entonet primary school a beneficiary of Responsible travel and eco-tourism. Full day of cultural immersion among various communities including visiting Maasai homesteads who have adopted modern life and other communities that have inter-married with the masaai. An opportunity to sample their day to day activities. Drive to Rongai village, Ol Choro village and back to the camp via Nkaitole view point for sunset.
Tsavo West N/P Ngulia Safari Lodge (FB).
Day 10. Wake up early when the peaks are clear, return for breakfast, check out and drive to Tsavo west. An international wildlife and environmental treasure chest that contains a variety of habitat, geological soil types, animals, birds and plants.
The park is close to Amboseli National Park, and on a clear day in Tsavo West you can see the Kilimanjaro. Tsavo West in Kenya is hilly, rocky, greener and more vegetated than Tsavo East but each has its own diversity.
Tsavo East N/P Voi Safari Lodge (FB) Day 11.
Depart to Tsavo East N/P with savannah grassland thorny bushes, swampy marshland unique landscape because of the Yatta Plateau formed from the lava that oozed from Ol Doinyo Sabuk Mountain.
A variety of animals can be seen: lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. Lugard Falls gush through a small fissure, narrow enough for the foolhardy to leap across, before dropping to Crocodile Point below, where the river changes its name to the Galana.
Watamu Beach Turtle Bay Beach Resort & Spa (FB) Day 12.
Depart to Watamu beach driving across the vast scenic Tsavo East N/P wilderness. Extensive game drives to exit at Sala gate and drive to Watamu via Gede to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Watamu Beach Turtle Bay Beach Resort & Spa (FB).
Day 13 &14. After breakfast visit Marine Park. Watamu is a small village located on the coast of Kenya, approximately 120 km north of Mombasa and 25 km south of Malindi. The area has developed an international reputation for its white-sand, reef protected beaches, which line the Watamu National Marine Park. In addition to the Marine Park itself, Watamu is within 10 km of two other special natural reserves, Mida Creek and Arabuko-Sokoke Forest and one fascinating site of archeological interest, Gede Ruins. Watamu Turtle Watch (WTW) has a nest protection program, which works in co-operation with local people & Kenya Wildlife Service to protect all nests laid on Watamu and Malindi beaches.
Watamu – Malindi-Nairobi Departure Day 15.
Transfer to Malindi airport after an early breakfast for a flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a hotel near the airport for some rest. Later drive back to the airport for departure.
