This beach holiday and safari covers Mikumi N.P/ Selous G.Re and Ruaha N.P. Zanzibar Archipelago have some of Africa's best beaches: gorgeous, long stretches of fine white and fringed by palm trees. You'll find a wide variety of hotels and lodges: something to suit everyone from luxurious, all-inclusive resorts to 'barefoot luxury' private islands. Zanzibar’s brilliant white beaches lapped by the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean provide the perfect place to relax, soak up the sun and take a break from some busy sightseeing. The beaches in Zanzibar are a paradise, interspersed with picturesque fishing villages, where the people live a simple way of life, unchanged over the years. The waters between Zanzibar and Pemba are home to some excellent game fishing opportunities.
Arrive- Dar Durban Hotel(HB).
Day 1. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport (or from Nairobi) you will be transferred to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Mikumi National Park Vuma Hill Tented Camp (FB).
Day2. Early breakfast then pick up from your hotel and depart to Mikumi National Park where you will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch proceed with afternoon game drives in the park a home to Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park. You will have dinner and overnight.
Selous Game Reserve Sand Rivers Selous (FB).
Day 3. Depart from the camp and Proceed to Selous Game Reserve with picnic lunch .Later in the afternoon, boat safari down the great Rufiji River. You will experience the Rufiji River by boat; meet hippos and crocodiles in good numbers. Quantities of 350 bird species have been verified in the Selous Game Reserve. These are distinctive of Miombo woodlands, and the bird life sustained by Rufiji swamplands is of meticulous interest. Kiba Point specializes in combining walks/boat trips and game drives - often in combination, as part of the same safari activity. We actively discourage long game drives day after day, preferring to offer this richer and more varied safari experience.
Selous Game Reserve Sand Rivers Selous (FB).
Day4.Whole day Game drive in the Selous Game Reserve. Discovery of the Reserve by 4 wheel drive vehicle. The Selous Game Reserve is the biggest in Africa, jacketing 54,600 square kilometer. The reserve acquires its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was murdered here during World War 1. Selous is well-known for elephants. Other species generally seen are lions, buffaloes, wild dogs, elands, baboons, bushbuck, impalas, zebras and greater kudus. It was initially set aside as a hunting area where animals are plentiful but more introvert then the Northern Parks. Excursions by 4x4 vehicles will permit you to have excellent photographic chance and the probability to explore diverse sections of enormous park.
Ruaha N/P Mwagusi River Camp (FB).
Day5 & 6. After breakfast check out and drive to Ruaha N/P to arrive in time for lunch. Second only to Katavi in its aura of untrammeled wilderness, but far more accessible, Ruaha protects a vast tract of the rugged, semi-arid bush country that characterizes central Tanzania. Its lifeblood is the Great Ruaha River.Beneath bulbous baobab trees, a few representatives of Ruaha's 10,000 elephants - the largest population of any East African national park, form a protective huddle around their young.
Ruaha N/P -Zanzibar Nungwi Village Beach Resort i (HB).
Day7-9. Early breakfast and drive to Dar Es Salaam to arrive in the afternoon where you will be transferred to the port for a speed boat to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at the port you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to the hotel. At the Nungwi Village Beach Resort they offer visitors a dedicated Recreation & Water Sports Centre. The Centre caters to a variety of water sports and recreation activities except for Scuba diving - which is provided separately at the Dive Centre. A wide range of water sports equipment is available for use by guests.
You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques. Stone Town has excellent gifts shops with plenty of souvenirs and handicrafts for you to delight your friends and family.
Day 10. After your breakfast transfer to the airport for departure.
