The Itinerary

Arrive -Nairobi                           Nairobi Safari Park (BB)

Day 1. Arrive this morning or in the evening at the airport where you will be received by a Kentan Safaris representative. Later you will be transferred to the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Samburu G/Re                         Samburu Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 2. Depart to Samburu G/Re after breakfast with a stop over at the equator crossing. The park is famous for the Samburu semi nomadic tribesmen. Arrive and check in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives around the park which has unique wildlife species from all other parks like reticulated giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, gerenuk, beisa oryx and a host of the big game including the elephant and Africa's big cats-leopard, cheetah and the lion. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Samburu G/Re                        Samburu Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 3. Full day of cultural immersion and walking. Usually the Samburu live in small settlements (nkang) of 1-3 families. Each of these families may be composed of a man and two or more wives, since Samburu practice polygynous marriage. Settlements may sometimes be larger, particularly the lorrora, a settlement of 50 or more families coming together for the ritual initiation of a new age set. Married men (Lpayen) are figures of authority in Samburu culture distinguished between junior elders, firestick elders (lpiroi), senior elders, retired elders. An age set moves together through these stages. Women usually marry between the ages of 15 and 17--often to men 10-40 years their senior. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon extensive visits and cultural dance at age 15-20 young men are initiated into an age set.This group forms a man's peer group for his entire life. Group moves together through distinctive age grades including while warriors, lmurran, (ages approx. 15-30) may not marry or eat food seen by women (except milk and blood) and are distinguished by their braided hair style. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru N/P                    Naivasha Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 4. After an early breakfast check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Stopover at Thomson Falls, Nyahururu for viewing of the waterfall. Arrive in time for lunch at one the lodges. After lunch, proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park fame for its abundance of birdlife including millions of flamingoes, rhino and scenic landscape. Drive to Lake Naivasha (20km) to your lodge late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Lake Naivasha -Hells Gate N/P Naivasha Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 5. The African Fish Eagles herald with their memorable ringing cry and the chorus of the bird song continues through-out the day. After breakfast a short transfer to Hells gate N/ park a unique park where walking and cycling is done in the middle of wildlife Giraffes, zebras, warthogs and many types of gazelles are found here. The first part of this walk is done in typical flat African savannah in a volcanic area with huge rock boundaries. There are camphor and acacia trees all over and this is where to look for the giraffe as they mainly feed on them.The last part of the walk is done in the Hell's Gate Gorge by descending into a steep canyon with running water from geysers and wild vegetation. The climax of the day is in walking in the Side Gorge where the rocks have split to leave only a walking path. We climb back to the Rangers post for transfer back to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon extensive boat rides.

Masai Mara G/Re                        Mara Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day 6. Depart to Masai Mara G/Re after breakfast, this is where you will enjoy the herd of animals and the amazing way they co-exist amongst each other. Get here by lunch time, after you refresh, have lunch relax as you wait to start the afternoon game drive. Get a closer look of the animal on the plains, with their endless vistas and enormous herds of grazing animals, look for the predators hidden in bushes or long grass i.e. lion, Cheetah and Leopard. There are hippos in the rivers and exotic birds everywhere. Dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara G/Re                       Mara Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day7. Optional early morning balloon safari and bush breakfast. Have full day game drive and cultural immersion in this great game reserve declared a “world wonder” by UNESCO due to the great wildebeest migration spectacle in the Mara-Serengeti eco-system

Amboseli N/P                            Amboseli Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day8 . Depart after early breakfast to Amboseli N/P at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain with a stop over for lunch in Nairobi. Later proceed to enter the park in the afternoon. Game drives en route around the water springs from Mt. Kilimanjaro. The snows of the mountain forms a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Kilimanjaro Forest Glades-Entonet Village Amboseli Sopa Lodge (FB)

Day9. Early morning game drive before a late breakfast, later drive up the scenic, wilderness to the forest glades of Mt. Kilimanjaro , Mama Africa Eco-Tourism project. Mama Africa Eco-Tented camp is located between Amboseli N/P and Mt. Kilimanjaro N/P. A paradise of scenic breath-taking views and scenery and also were we have community based development programs. Afternoon short excursions to Ngaitole view point and back via Makutano shopping centre and the Lutheran & Catholic churches. Stop-over at Lutheran church hill view-point for photography. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Nairobi                                         Departure

Day 10. Check out after breakfast and drive to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch, Nairobi city tours, shopping and any other personal activity. Farewell dinner at Carnivore Restaurant later transfer to the airport for departure.
